How it worksIt is no secret that one of the most reliable and accurate ways to control various parameters of equipment is to read from the CAN- / OBD- bus provided by the manufacturer. However, not every car (device) provides the possibility of monitoring (especially remotely) precisely the data that is priority for your scope. Especially when it comes to complex machines, which are often equipped with additional equipment. How then do you know if the snow blower was really driving with the brush on, or if the driver turned it off to save (and further drain) fuel? How many lifts did the truck crane make at your site and how much did it cheat at your expense at the next one? And what was the axle load after loading the next batch of cargo into the trailer?

A CAN adapter is used to connect special sensors and relay data. Its installation takes an average of 30-40 minutes.
How to connect the CAN adapterDirectly for the connection of special sensors and data retransmission, a CAN adapter is used — a removable unit of compact dimensions, through which communication is carried out between additional sensors and the on-board computer of the car. As a result, information from the vehicle’s on-board system is added to the data calculated by the satellite module itself and sensors.
To install a CAN adapter, you do not need to disassemble the dashboard and interior of the car or lay a ton of wiring. It is connected to a place in the car specially designed for it, and installation on average takes no more than 30-40 minutes. If your car is under warranty, then the connection to the CAN-bus will be made contactless through special additional CAN clips.
